A Space to Spark Joy

I believe for our wellbeing, we need a spaces that support our senses: smell, sound, sight and touch. Rest and digest is imperative to a heathy ecosystem within our bodies. Sitting in stillness, watching the birds at the bird feeder, listening to music, adding art projects can all be moments of the day that support your parasympathetic system for rest and digest. Building a sacred space in your home offers your body time to disengage from fight or flight responses. In chronic long term fight or flight response stage, our bodies will eventually reach burn out leading to numerous cascade of issues. Next time you get a chance, add a spot in your home that feels relaxing, maybe add some essential oils and aromatherapy and start a wellness journey in a completely new way.
